Dedham Free COVID-19 Testing Extended On Wednesday And Thursday
As you know, due to last week’s “red” high risk designation, Dedham partnered with the MA Department of Public Health to establish a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site at the Endicott Estate located at 656 East Street in Dedham. Today (Sunday, September 13) Fallon Ambulance conducted over 500 tests at the site. Testing is open to everyone, and no appointment is needed.
I am also pleased to announce that due to the high demand experienced today, testing at the Dedham site is now being extended for two more days - on Wednesday, 9/16 and Thursday, 9/17 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM. The remaining testing days/times are listed below:
Monday, September 14 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Tuesday, September 15 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM
Wednesday, September 16 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM
Thursday, September 17 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM
Please enter the testing site from the East Street driveway at the estate. Tests will be conducted in your vehicle, and you do not have to have symptoms to be tested. This is an anterior (short) nasal swab test. Masks are mandatory, and it is suggested you have tissues available as the test often results in sneezing or a runny nose. Results are typically available in 48-72 hours.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator Candidate Site Visits
This is a reminder that this week on Tuesday, 9/15, Wednesday, 9/16 and Thursday, 9/17 the three finalists for the district’s position of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator will be making site visits to schools and conducting virtual meetings/interviews. Linked here is a short bio for each candidate and a schedule of their site visit activities. There will be zoom meeting opportunities for faculty, staff, students, and parents/community members to meet the candidates and provide feedback for consideration. Please take a moment to review the site visit schedule and mark your calendars to attend. Zoom links will be sent out.
All my best,
