PreSchool Update for Fall 2020 - August 24, 2020

Good afternoon, preschool families.

I am writing to update you on the current efforts to secure preschool programming for this upcoming school year.  Although the discussions are still ongoing with the Superintendent and School Committee, we are coming closer to a determination regarding in-person learning for our littlest learners.

As mentioned on the webinar with Mr. Welch, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has advised that in-person learning be prioritized for preschoolers, and we are making every effort to follow that guidance while keeping in mind appropriate social distancing and other guidelines appropriate for preschool students.  (including such things as remote learning and screen time.)  We have also investigated many other districts and their plans for their preschool programs.

I am very hopeful that we will have a decision by the end of this week, and will be communicating the plan to you with a request to make a commitment in a very quick turnaround.  Stay tuned.......

As always, please reach out if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.  I am happy to discuss.

Have a great rest of the day!
