Dedham Public Schools has revised plans for their new summer enrichment program, Eco-Explorers, now offering interested students greater schedule flexibility, lower pricing and extending registration to four neighboring towns. The program, which will shift from a full 4-week July program, will now be available on a weekly session basis, providing the ability to choose individual weeks, rather than commit to the full month of July. In addition to shifting Eco-Explorers to a weekly format, Dedham is also adjusting the pricing to align with current Avery Institute programming costs, making each weekly afternoon session now $80 per week. Students who register and refer a friend to join them at Eco-Explorers can also benefit from a 10% discount.
Dedham Public Schools announced the appointment of Dr. Sara Stetson as the Dedham Public Schools Assistant Superintendent for Student Services, effective July 1, 2022. Sara was the consensus top choice from a talented field of candidates during her finalist interviews and site visit. We are thrilled that Sara will be able to work with DPS Special Education Director Liza O’Connell in the next few months to coordinate a smooth transition and entry into our district. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Sara Stetson to the Dedham Public Schools community!
On Monday, March 28, Dedham Public School administration and School Committee members will present to the Dedham Finance and Warrant Committee an overview of the District's FY23 Budget Book. The book summarizes the FY23 Budget request as voted by the School Committee on February 2, 2022 . This is an opportunity for FinCom members to pose questions about our budget before they begin their deliberations and vote for what FinCom will support as a final Town Meeting recommendation.
