  • May 3rd Return to School - Spirit Week & Class Breakfasts

    We are incredibly excited to welcome students back into the building next week! There is a Spirit Week planned and Class Breakfasts. Staff will be in the lobby to greet you on Monday morning, and we will make the most out of the remaining days of 2020/2021! Please take an opportunity to review some of the videos below made by some of DHS’s finest to help with your transition. It’s not every year we get to have a first day of school in May!

  • Class of 2021: CPR Requirement Update & Deadlines

    Seniors must meet a Gr. 12 Wellness requirement. Because the Pandemic is limiting in-person options, DHS will have students complete the requirement in an online format. Gr. 12 students needing to fulfill their graduation requirement will complete the American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR AED eLearning course. Each qualifying Gr. 12 student will receive a unique code to access their eLearning course and will need to complete the work by Monday, April 26, 2021. Parents consent is due by March 12, 2021.   • AP Exam Update & Schedule Now Available

    Dedham High School will administer AP exams during the Administration 2 dates, (May 18-21, 24-28) with the exception of foreign language which will be held during Administration 1 (May 10-11). Paper and pencil exams will be administered at school, and digital exams will be taken at home. All exams are full-length exams. DHS will continue to follow all safety precautions and guidelines in order to ensure a safe testing environment for our students. If a student is unable to test during Administration 2 due to illness, quarantine or other circumstances, their exam date will be changed to Administration 3 (June 1-4, 7-11). Please remember that it is required for all AP students to take the corresponding AP exam to receive credit on their transcripts.   • Credit Recovery

    DHS students who received a 50 or higher in a course and/or have earned a 50% for two terms during the academic year are eligible for Credit Recovery over the summer. An outline of requirements and course calendar is available here. Registration for Credit Recovery is open until June 26th.

Spotlight News from Around the District

  • DHS Senior Updates April 13, 2021

    View the lastest updates sent to the Class of 2021 regarding senior activities, including Prom, which will not be held. The decision regarding Prom was made after survey feedback from the Class of '21 indicated they did not want to hold the event under the required MA state guidelines. DHS will continue to support the Class of 2021 as the guidelines change and other opportunities arise.

  • June 5th DHS Class of 2021 Graduation Plans

    DHS will hold the Class of 2021 Graduation at 11am on June 5th (June 6th rain date) outdoors at Memorial Field. The commencement ceremony will follow all safety guidelines issue by the State as of April 28th. Congrats DHS Class of 2021!

  • Local College Scholarships

    The Dedham Local Scholarship application is due on Friday, April 30. All seniors are encouraged to apply through the universal application available in Naviance. The local scholarship program includes over 130 scholarships and students considering a trade, 2 year college or 4 year university qualify for consideration.

  • NEW: COVID Quarantine Guidelines

    On Wednesday, March 3 the Dedham School Committee voted to approve revised COVID Quarantine Guidelines for the District. These guidelines allow the option (in non-household exposures) for people who are considered close contacts of a positive COVID-19 case to return from quarantine with testing after as few as 7 days. These revised guidelines follow CDC recommendations and will remain in effect for the District for all students and staff.

    When it comes to notifying parents regarding students in classrooms or schools who have tested positive, our school nurses are following a strict set of protocols.
