View document presented to Dedham School Committee on Sept 2 - providing an overview of the overall funding sources for the Dedham Public Schools for FY 2021 (2020-2021 academic year), as well as specific information relative to our fee based programs that would be impacted due to the pandemic and having schools open in a hybrid format starting on September 16, 2020.
The holiday season is fast approaching and many of our Dedham community members may be considering travel plans to visit friends and family. Now that Dedham Schools have students attending school in-person, it is critical that our families continue to follow safe practices when it comes to COVID-19, so that we can continue to keep students in our classrooms through the winter. Our schools are working very hard to enforce rigorous COVID-19 precautions every day, and we urge all parents and families to join us in this effort.
When it comes to notifying parents regarding students in classrooms or schools who have tested positive, our school nurses are following a strict set of protocols. There are often questions – especially around who was impacted, how family members ought to respond, and if school will need to shift back to fully remote learning.
