School-owned social media accounts are all subject to Public Records Law in MA. Posts and subsequent replies are all subject to this law. School social media accounts are used to share school updates, interesting snapshots from the school day and celebrate school achievements and news. DPS does not regularly monitor social media channels. Questions, concerns and ongoing issues should be communicated directly to the appropriate school staff via telephone or email.
- Our school PTO organizations do manage social media accounts to share fundraising, and organization updates. While school news is also often shared, please be aware that this is not an official DPS channel, and information communicated through these social channels should not be viewed as an official school communication.
Student privacy rights will always be observed by DPS-owned social media channels. When sharing photos or achievements, students will be notified that their image will be posted on social media.
