MA Department of Children & Families (DCF)
The Department of Children and Families (DCF) strives to protect children from abuse and neglect. DCF works toward establishing the permanency and well-being of children by providing supports and services to families at home when it is safe to do so. When necessary, DCF provides foster care and, if parental reunification is not possible, finds new permanent families through kinship, guardianship or adoption.

Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission
The Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) helps individuals with disabilities to live and work independently. MRC is responsible for Vocational Rehabilitation, Community Living, and Disability Determination for federal benefit programs. MRC works with eligible adults to connect them with an array of employment and day program supports, community living and other residential aid, and family support. Individualized Education Program (IEP)
The Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a legal document that is written for a child with a disability, identifies needs, sets goals and lists services to ensure optimal educational and vocational outcomes. It is created through a team of the child's parent, guardian and district personnel who are knowledgeable about the child's needs.
