The Oakdale Elementary Building Project will explore ways in which the Town can capitalize on state funding to improve and update Dedham’s Elementary school facilities. The project will explore all potential construction opportunities, from a reconstruction of the Oakdale School alone to a broader plan with multi-site review and a different approach to elementary school configuration.

The "Oakdale Elementary Building Project" is only a name. In our Master Plan process Oakdale was identified as the school building with the greatest likelihood of acceptance into the MSBA process (it was!), and therefore became the name of the project as defined in all official documentation moving forward.  The name should not be seen as indicative of a decided direction other than that any MSBA funded project plans must at least involve the Oakdale School.
