• PowerSchool
  • PowerSchool is an online portal accessible anywhere on the web that parents/guardians can log in to and find all of their student(s) information in one place.   Dedham Public Schools uses this system to track all key student information.  Students in grades 6-12 also have student-level access to PowerSchool. For DMS and DHS families, PowerSchool will show expanded information including grades, assignments and schedules.

PowerSchool - Existing Accounts

  • If you have already set up a PowerSchool account for your family BUT DO NOT remember the Username or Password, go to the link and follow the options.  If you DO NOT remember your Username, be sure to use the email that is on file with the school - the one you get school updates on.    PowerSchool will send you a link to recover and reset your account information.

IF YOU DO NOT GET AN EMAIL TO RESET YOUR USERNAME OR PASSWORD - YOU MAY NEED TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT.

Creating A New Parent Account

  • If you have not already created a Parent account on PowerSchool, you can follow the steps below to get one set up.   Students do not need to create accounts, those will be created for them at the school, using their school email credentials.

To create a Parent/Family account, you will need to enter a parent's first name, last name, and email address.  You will also need to choose a Username and Password.

After creating an account - PowerSchool will send a verification email and link.   This email verification link must be used within 24 hours.

If you complete the form and it tells you that the email is already being used, then an account has already been created for you - please follow the Forgot Username/Password instructions, or contact your school main office for assistance.

Connecting Students to the Account

  • Each Dedham student has been assigned a one-time use Access ID and Access Password.  These are sent home in a letter/email.  You will need this information in order to connect your student to your Parent account.  This process only needs to be completed once, when the account is set up.

If you do not have the Access ID or Access Password for your students, please contact your school's main office.  They can resend the information to you.
