Browse the categories that many of these search pages have established to get started

Click on the Advance tab to use Boolean terms such as AND, OR and NOT...check the Help link on the search page for how to use these terms effectively

Put quotes around words that you are sure about like "Abraham Lincoln"

Remember that not all web sites returned by search engines are appropriate for use in an educational setting. Click here for information on evaluating web sites.

Our students should not be using search engines without direct supervision.
