Attention all sophomores: Please pass in your physicals to the health office if you have not done so yet this year.
Attention Seniors: We need old pictures for the then and now section of the yearbook. You can give them to Mr. Dewar or a member of the yearbook staff.
Congratulations to the Science Team for hosting an outstanding district meet February 4. Special recognition goes to Bonnie Carpenter and John Rouhana for winning silver medals in the Ecology event. Many thanks to the Science department for all of their hard work.
All students interested in spring sports: There will be a spring candidates meeting on Tuesday, February 9 at 2:15 in the gym. All interested athletes must attend.
Are you interested in going to the Sophomore Semi? Be sure to pay your class dues as soon as possible. Dues can be paid to either Mrs. Ball in E203 or Ms. O'Regan in B202.
Student Council will be selling Valentine's Day candy grams to support the Haiti Relief fund. Candy Grams will be sold for $1.00. See a rep in X Block or Ms. Gamel in B201.
Any girls interested in playing lacrosse this spring should report to a meeting on Thursday after school in Coach Reilley's room B208.
Attention Seniors: It is time to write and submit your write-up for the yearbook. This is the paragraph that will appear under your picture in the book. There is a form with instructions on the Dedham High Web Site. See Mr. Dewar with any questions or concerns.
Computer Club will have a mandatory meeting on February 8th after school.
The Social Studies Department would like to congratulate Greg Grant for being chosen as Dedham High Schools student representative to Student Government Day. The department would also like to congratulate Carl Severe for being chosen as the alternate. Both students travel to Beacon Hill in April for the event.
The Social Studies Department would like to congratulate John Aleman for being chosen as the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen from Dedham for the 2009-2010 school year. John will be recognized for this award in the spring.
All students who are interested in attending the Ski Club trip to Cannon Mountain on March 27, 2010 should see Mr. Simon in room A216 or Mrs. Smith in room E207 to obtain registration forms. The cost for the trip is $55.00.
Scully Awards Film Festival
Dedham High Schools TV/Video Production classes are hosting the 5th Annual DHS Media Film Festival and Scully Awards on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010 at 7pm in the Dedham High School Auditorium. The festival, which is entirely student run and organized, will showcase student work from the current school year with an Oscar-like awards ceremony during the event. There will be an intermission and a raffle featuring great prizes as well. Hope to see you there!

Athletics:
Clean out your dressers and closets, collect all your old clothing, linens, shoes, etc. Turn all you old items into the recycling trailer now located behind BJ's Wholesale Club in Dedham. Dedham Athletics has a continuous fundraiser with the cooperation of Bay State Textiles, where recycling old items turns into profit for the Athletic Department and benefits our student athletes.
The weight room hours have been changed for Wednesdays it will be open 3:30 - 5:00 PM.
All other days it will be opened at 3:00 PM.
The school store is now open on Monday and Friday afternoons from 2:10 - 3:00PM. Please be sure to stock up on Dedham apparel for the upcoming winter season.
