Gail Kelley
Nurse Leader
June 17, 2009
7:25 PM

Good evening Greenlodge parents.
This is Gail Kelley, Nurse Leader for the Dedham Schools.
I am calling to inform you that there is an increasing number of students out with flu-like illness from the Greenlodge School. This call is a reminder to parents that it is important to continue to follow public health policy. If your child has flu-like symptoms: a temperature greater than 100 and a cough, runny nose or sore throat they must be kept home and away from others for 7 days (even if they have had these symptoms for only a day). We realize that having your child home from school or activities for 7 days (especially if they are seemingly well), can be a great inconvenience. At this time of year, telling a child that he or she may have to miss an important day at school or the end of a sports season can be particularly challenging. However, it is necessary to institute these policies to curb the spread of this disease. Again we thank you for your cooperation. Have a good night.
