Hello. My name is Don Langenhorst, Technology Director for the Dedham Public Schools. I am in the process of completing my Doctorate of Education degree through Northeastern University. A letter was recently sent home to you with your son/daughter describing my plans to conduct a 90 minute focus group which would include your son/daughter. The focus group is a component of a research project on your son/daughter's Computer Business Applications course. The letter provided the details as to how your child would be able to assist in the research examining the effectiveness of online versus face-to-face instruction at the high school level. If you have received the letter, please review its contents, complete the consent section, and send it back to me at Dedham High School. If you did not receive the letter, I would like to send another copy home to you for your review and consideration. I can be reached at Dedham High School 781-326-4773 x 1123 if you have any questions. Thank you.

For parents and teachers, knowing a child's learning styles, can help build self-esteem by helping them discover their strengths, can depict which areas students might need to make more effort and can lead to students appreciating the differences among the students themselves. Please join us this Thursday, March 3 at 6:45 p. m. at Endicott Estate. I hope to see you there. Thank you, and have a pleasant evening.
