Good evening Oakdale first grader families. This is principal Holli Armstrong calling to inform you that the 1st grade social has been rescheduled to Thursday , September 2nd from 4 -6 pm. All first graders are cordially invited to this event. The social will be held on the playground, blacktop and fields at Oakdale School. This is a great opportunity for parents and students to come and meet their classmates. We hope to see you there. Thank you and have a wonderful evening!

Good evening: This is Mr. Santamaria, Principal of Dedham High School. To make everyone's high school experiences as productive as possible, we will be having an evening for freshman orientation on Wednesday, September 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dedham High School auditorium. The evening's events are designed to familiarize our incoming freshmen and their parents with the culture, climate, and expectations of Dedham High School. Collaboratively we want to establish a solid foundation for the success of each student at Dedham High School. We hope that every freshman and their parents will be able to join us. It will be helpful to the students if they bring their schedule with them. If you have any questions, please call Mr. James Forrest at 781-326-6484.

This is Mrs. Kelly the middle school nurse with a few reminders to make the start of the new school year easier.

All students entering 7th grade are required by state law to have a Tdap booster shot . This documentation must be received prior to the first day of school or students will be excluded from starting school.

All students who are required to take medication at school or have an epipen must have a written order from the physician this also includes over the counter medication other than tylenol or advil.The medication must be in a prescription bottle. Epipens should have an expiration date after June 2011.

All 7th and 8th grade students who are planning on participating in the athletic program must have an updated physical according to MIAA guidelines, which is within 13 months from the date of tryouts. Sixth grade students may participate in cross country and are also required to have updated physicals.

Finally students will receive the first week of school pink emergency cards and tylenol/advil permission slips. Please fill out and return ASAP please be sure to fill out both sides of the pink card.

Good evening Greenlodge families. This is Principal Kathy Kiewlicz calling to let you know that the PTO is planning a Greenlodge Cleanup Event. Please join us to get our school yard ready and celebrate the new school year at Greenlodge. We'll gather on Thursday, August 26, at 10:00am to clean up the field and playground. Good evening, this is Superintendent June Doe with important information about the school construction projects on the upper high school campus for the new Avery School, and the high school new track and field project. Beginning next week, August 23rd, the construction fencing will be installed on the entire perimeter of the building project. High school students will not be able to access the high school via the practice field or across the bridge. Students should plan to arrive using Recreation Road at High Street, or Mt. Vernon Street, or Whiting Avenue. The School Department is working closely with Consigli Construction throughout these projects to assure the saftey of our students and personnel. Please remind your student that the construction site is off limits. Thank you for your continued support.

This is Assistant Superintendent Cynthia Kelly. I am calling to invite you to attend an informational meeting next Monday evening, August 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will provide an opportunity to have your questions answered before you respond to Mrs. Sullivan's notification letter about Avery's improvement status. Her letters were mailed yesterday so if you didn't receive it in today's mail, it should arrive very soon. We will be meeting in the Avery Gymnasium. Hello everyone,

This is Kathy Kiewlicz and I am calling to share with you the very sad news that Allie Pace's dad, Richard, passed away yesterday after his difficult battle with cancer. I know that some of you don't read email during the summer so I am calling in the hope of notifying as many of you as possible. The wake will be tomorrow, Tuesday at the Doherty and Sons Funeral Home in Dedham. Please check your email or the Doherty and Sons web site for the detailed arrangements. Good night and take care.
